If most dance studios seems to have experience teaching children and a big show at the end of the year aren't they all pretty much the same? Does it really matter which place you decide to enroll at? There are 4 main things that can make a huge difference in the quality of instruction your child receives, the amount of hassles the parent encounters and the overall enjoyment and satisfaction of being involved with a dance program.  Here are 4 things every parent should consider before deciding on a dance studio for their child.

If the dance class has fewer students in it each child will receive more personalized attention, learn more and have more fun. With younger students it is easier for a teacher to maintain control over the class and make sure each student understands the concept and instruction.  Our smaller size ensures that this principal is withheld.  A smaller class size for more advance dancers ensures that the students are not developing bad dance habits or improper technique. Our pre ballet classes only have 6 children.

Dance is a very physical activity that requires a lot of jumping, which can put stress on bones and joints.  Consequently, dancing on the wrong surface can place a lot of pressure on the ankles, knees and back of a dancer. The best way to prevent this is a by choosing a studio with a professional floor.

In the Yarmouth studio we have a floating floor. In the Barnstable studio we have a sprung floor. Both studios have the same top layer. A vinyl composite "marley" floor. This surface is accepted worldwide as the best surface for recreational and professional dance. With a Marley floor, the risk of injury is no longer a factor.

We believe in professional dance education.  Past students have gone on to major in dance education in recognized universities, professional performance opportunities and teaching positions.  We offer several performance opportunities year round including our annual "nutcracker", Spring Gala, Performance Awards, Competition Team and more.  All of our teachers are qualified dance instructors delivering quality education.

Yes you can. All our studios are equipped with monitors so you can sit in the comfort of our waiting room while you enjoy watching your child on a television.  Letting the parents in the studio can be distracting to the dancers. The monitors allow for the class to be conducted with out the child wanting to run over to their parent.  Yet, you can see everything on in the class and see your childs progress before performances.  If you need to leave the studio for ay reason that is fine as well.  We have full desk staff if your dancer needed assistance during class someone is there to help
